New Delhi : New York-based Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has signed an agreement with Asia-Pacific Institute of Management (AIM) for offering its masters programme for the first time in India. The MS degree programmes will be offered at the campus of AIM in New Delhi.Mr Joseph T Nairn, director, RIT, told reporters here on Thursday that the programme comes in view of the fact that "though India is seen as a huge resource pool for satisfying the worldwide demand for Information Technology specialists, the country itself does not offer any specialist Information Technology programme that will equip Indians to apply for jobs on an equal footing with professional around the world."
Elaborating on the programme, Mr PK Agarwal, director, RIT programme at AIM, pointed out that initially two programmes would be launched - Master of Science in Software Development and Management and Master of Science in Cross Disciplinary Professional Studies.
