Bihar-based cable operator files case against Star
A Bihar-based cable operator, Mr Lalit Agarwal, has filed a case against three officials of Star (News Television India) network for an alleged breach of contract. Mr Agarwal, a visually impaired cable operator, filed a case against these officials on January 2 at the Katihar court in Bihar. The case has since then been transferred to the Bihar High Court. According to Mr Agarwal, he filed a case against the three officials of Star for a hike in the price for connectivity to the Star bouquet of channels, and for switching off the Star channels subsequently. A prima facie case against these officials has been filed against Section 504, 120B, 420 and 406 in the Indian Penal Code Act, according to the judicial papers.

TCS inks pact with ADC
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global supplier of network equipment, on Thursday announced a partnership with ADC for undertaking systems integration projects for telecommunications providers. TCS will offer these services to telecommunication providers across Asia, particularly in India. Seminar on `IT firms and stock market' from Feb 12The Electronic and Computer Software Export Promotion Council will hold a two-day national seminar here on `IT Companies and the Stock Market' from February 12. Council's core committee chairman Sanjoy Dasgupta told a press conference on Thursday that the seminar would provide a platform for corporate bosses to share experiences on the local and international stock markets.

Adobe unveils two products
Adobe has announced the launch of its two products - Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader 2.0 and Adobe Content Server 2.0 for ebooks. Both products result from the company's recent acquisition of Glassbook Inc.
