GNFC installs VSATs for the quake-hit

Ahmedabad : Bharuch-based Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) and TIW Systems have installed a VSAT terminal at the quake-hit Bhuj town and is busy installing a similar communication facility at Anjar in Gujarat. The VSAT installed at the collector's office at Bhuj has two STD lines for voice communication and also the facility to send fax messages to GNFC Bharuch or GNFC InfoTower in Ahmedabad, to be re-transmitted anywhere in India and abroad, says a GNFC press release issued here. Two helplines using VSAT have been installed at InfoTower in Ahmedabad to contact Bhuj Control Room. The numbers are (079) 6854513 and 8854514.
