Tata Engg posts Rs 121-cr Q3 loss
Tata Engineering & Locomotive Company Ltd (Telco) has posted a net loss of Rs 121 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2000, as against a net loss of Rs 60 crore for the corresponding period last year. According to a press release, net sales from operations has gone down to Rs 1,762 crore from Rs 2,368 crore last year. Total vehicles produced and sold were maintained almost at the similar levels.PM hints at rail fare hike
Prime Minister Vajpayee on Wednesday said rail fares could be hiked in the coming Budget if it became very essential to mobilise resources for tackling the situation arising out of the Gujarat earthquake.
