Chennai : StepStone ASA, a leading career portal has set up its base in India. It has launched www.india.stepstone.com to focus on India. The portal will offer career opportunities across industry categories in both Europe and India, thereby opening up the European job market to Indians.The portal has about 75 Indian companies listed on its Indian Websites. The portal offers details on career opportunities across diverse industry sectors such as IT, marketing, media, telecom etc.
In India, StepStone has put in place alliances with portals such as Hotmail, Sify.com, Rediff.com, Caltiger.com and Yahoo !(India). It is also planning an offline presence considering the low Net penetration and usage in India.The Indian arm would get its revenues from fee-based listing of vacancies offered by Indian and European companies, listing of education and training programmes offered by universities and institutes in Europe, India and other countries worldwide.
