Empowertel Networks opens centre in Delhi
The US-based Empowertel Networks, a supplier of system solutions for converging networking and telecommunications market, has opened its advanced development centre in New Delhi. The centre will function as the complete development arm for Empowertel's product USx1000 product line and will be one of the first labs in India to work on the carrier class VOIP switch technology.

Logica's Quaestor with Point Information Systems' e-CRM product
The IT consultancy firm Logica India has integrated its Quaestor family of banking products into Point Information Systems' e-CRM solutions aimed at the financial services market. These channel independent solutions would be based on Point's newly launched e-point 5 family.

Deltagram launches satellite mail service in West Bengal
Deltagram which is into satellite messaging, on Wednesday started its operations in West Bengal by setting a hub in Kolkata. The hub will enable the company to offer its cost effective communication services like E-call (phone to phone), deltafax (fax to fax), pagenet (multi city paging) and netshoppe (e-commerce) to the residents of West Bengal. With an investment of over Rs 20 lakh per hub Deltagram has already set up over 50 hubs and plans to set up 250 such hubs across the country by the end of the year.

Nucleus Software plans facility at Noida
Nucleus Software, a global player in banking automation and innovative software solutions, on Wednesday announced its plan to start a facility at Noida, its seventh in India. With an investment of Rs 28 crore from nucleus, the facility will begin operations in October this year, according to Nucleus managing director Mr Vishnu Dusad.

Bharti Teletech ships millionth `Beetel' phone
Bharti Teletech Limited, the makers of the Beetel brand telephones, shipped their millionth phone from the Gurgaon plant on Tuesday.The landmark was achieved with the consignment of 5,945 telephones to BSNL.
