Chadha nominated to NIC board
Mr Manu Chadha, a chartered accountant by profession, has been appointed by the government to the Board of National Insurance Company Limited (NIC), Calcutta. Mr Chadha is on the board of a number of Corporates including Dena Bank, SBI Mutual Fund, PNB Housing Finance, CanFin Homes, etc. He is a senior partner in the firm M/s TR Chadha & Co, Chartered Accountants.Naresh joins Intl Travel House
Mr Naresh has joined International Travel House as manager-CRD at Chennai. He started his career eight and a half years back with M&N Publications, Bangalore-publishers of Getit Yellow Pages. He moved on to Jansons Motor Accessories, Bangalore as assistant manager in early 90s. He was associated with Oman Trading Establishment in Muscat for about two years, handling sales and marketing of ISUZU vehicles. His last assignment was with Concorde Motors, Bangalore.
Best marketeer award for Khanna
Ms Achal Khanna, Country Manager of Polaroid India has been chosen the `Best Marketeer of the year' for the year 2000 in recognition of her individual services and outstanding contribution in the field of marketing by Asian Photography Magazine. She has become the first woman to receive this honour. Ms Khanna joined Polaroid as country manager-lndia in October 1999, and in the very first year. Ms Khanna was announced the Best Woman Executive in India in 1998 by IMI, New Delhi. For her contribution in Exports, Ms Khanna was awarded the Best Exporter Award in 1996 and 1997 by Plex Council.
New advisors for ITH
Ms Deepti Bhagat has joined International Travel House as advisor - travel & tours (outbound). She comes with a rich experience of 30 years in the travel industry. She has worked in ITDC in various capacities including vice president travel & tours, vice president of the duty free trade and lastly as vice president corporate communications.
Maj Gen Sehgal has joined International Travel House as an advisor in the areas of new projects and business development. His earlier experience was as the MD of Mercury Car Rentals. His military career apart from other distinguished positions has seen him serving as military advisor to the President of India.
Bausch & Lomb appoints Chopra
Bausch & Lomb have appointed Mr Harsh Chopra as the managing director of the Indian Company. Bausch & Lomb India, had earlier sold off the Contact Lens business to Baush & Lomb Eyecare Pvt Ltd in October 2000. Mr Chopra assumes the charge of the new position with immediate effect. A chemical engineer by profession, Mr Chopra has been with Bausch Lomb India since 1995 as vice president (Technical).
