RCF shuts down Trombay unit
Bogged down by prolonged short-supply of ammonia gas, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) has partially closed down its Trombay unit operations. Bombay HC extends remand of Bharat Shah
The Bombay high court on Wednesday extended till January 21 police remand of Bharat Shah who had financed the controversial film "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke" for Rs 12 crore. The remand which was granted by the special court was to expire on Thursday.
Seven new members on LIC board
The Centre has added seven new members on the board of Life Insurance Corporation. The new members are drawn from various fields as part-time non-official directors for two years with effect from January 12. The new members are former chairman of Unit Trust of India SA Dave, chartered accountant RP Chitle, former chairman and managing director Dr G Goswami, Indian Institute of Management director Prof Jahar Saha, former high court judge Prem Shankar Sahay, Delhi School of Economics lecturer Ram Khanna and Prof Raosaheb Kasbe.
