Wipro may post 100% growth in Q3 revenues

Bangalore, Jan 17 : Infotech major Wipro Ltd is expected to post over 100 per cent growth in revenues for the Q3 2000, in line with the general pattern of revenue growth posted by IT companies. Given the scrip's low exposure to the market, analysts say it is unlikely its price would experience any major changes. For the previous corresponding third quarter of 99-2000, the company's revenues shot up to Rs 576.8 crore to post a profit of Rs 84 crore (Rs 26.7 crore in Q3 '98-99), a 214 per cent boost for the bottom line.For the nine month-period ended December 30, 1999, the company posted sales and other income of Rs 1562 crore, a 28 per cent growth over the corresponding period in the previous year.
