Spice incoming calls to cost 33% less in Punjab

New Delhi: Spice Communications Limited, the leading cellular services provider of Punjab, on Wednesday dropped its tariff charges for the subscribers of Quicky Regular or Spice Sixer Package, by 33 per cent on the incoming airtime rates. Now, the mobile phone user would have to pay Rs 1 per billing pulse for incoming calls. In totality, an average user on these tariff plans can look forward to a reduction of Rs 100-125 in his monthly bill, according to a release issued by Spice Communications.

For the same set of subscribers, Spice Communications has also introduced a nigh slab, called "night hours" wherein they would be charged a minimal amount of 25 paise per billing pulse. This new "night hours" tariff will be available to subscribers from 11 PM to 6 AM on both incoming and outgoing airtime.

The subscribers on the other tariff plans will also substantially benefit from these new tariff changes. Spice Four Package and Quicky Light tariff customers also have special "night hours" wherein, the call charges at the "night hours" are 75 paise per billing pulse on both incoming and outgoing air time. The subscriber of Spice Quicky Light would have to pay only Rs 2.75 per billing pulse during off-peak hours.

Spice Communications, which is a subsidiary of the ModiCorp Group, provides cellular services in Punjab, Karnataka, and Calcutta circles. Yesterday, it had also announced a reduction in tariffs for its Calcutta cellular services.
