NetKraft, NID to set up R&D lab in Ahmedabad
Netkraft Pvt Ltd and National Institute of Design (NID) will set up a Web-usability research lab at the institute premises in Ahmedabad. Netkraft would provide high quality infrastructure for Internet access to facilitate advanced Web-usability research.

VSNL kicks off Net services in Coimbatore
The Internet services of VSNL at Coimbatore, the first node in the proposed expansion schedule across the country, kicked off on Friday. Mr Amitabh Kumar, director (operations) of VSNL, said seven more nodes are being planned for the current fiscal. The Internet services are provided through VSNL's gateway facility located at the PSG-STEP software park which was commissioned last year. The Internet services at Coimbatore is being offered via fully digital E1 R2 access links. ``We chose Coimbatore as the first location because of the high home PC concentration here,''Mr Kumar said.
