Purple Yogi mops up $13.8 m in second round
Purple Yogi Inc has announced the completion of $13.8 million round of private equity funding, led by At India, which has H&Q Asia Pacific as a lead investor and strategic partner. This round of funding has also attracted investments from Softbank Venture Capital and Bangalore-based Infosys Technologies Ltd, besides individual investors. Conexant Systems expands operations in India
The $2.1 billion Conexant Systems Inc, the world's largest independent company focused exclusively on providing semiconductor solutions for communications electronics, has expanded its operations to India, opening its second office here. Conexant will set up an application lab to provide superior local technical support to the company's customers in India, according to the company's vice-president, Asia-pacific sales, Dennis Packard. Arun Thiagarajan appointed president of HP's Indian outfitHewlett-Packard has appointed Mr Arun Thiagarajan president of its Indian operations. He succeeds Mr Ganesh Ayyer, who will be taking on a new role as director for HP's Asia-Pacific marketing operations. Mr Thiagarajan, was earlier vice-president of Wipro Ltd and CEO of Wipro Infotech.
Lane Kagey to head Celstream's US operations
Celstream Technologies has appointed Lane Kagey as president of its US operations. Mr Kagey brings with him over 16 years of high technology product development experience in large organisations across the US, Japan and India. He was earlier the director of software engineering for Xerox's office products business.
SDRC in strategic pact with Oracle Corporation
SDRC, a high-end design solutions provider and Oracle Corporation have joined hands to integrate SDRC's Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC) solutions with Oracle Product Development Exchange. This will make available collaborative product and design intelligence to product manufacturers, through the Internet via Oracle Development Exchange.
