Gayatri Interactive seekspartners abroad

New Delhi : Gayatri Interactive Ltd, a joint venture software company of South Indian industrialist T Subbarami Reddy and US-based Cytura Corporation, is looking for partners in overseas market for expanding its software services business.

Vice chairman of Gayatri Interactive Sujit Kumar told eFE that the company has received a good response for its Cytura software product in India and is now looking for building its services business in the overseas market.The company has set up a software development centre in Hyderabad and is now working towards setting up partnerships in select geographies such as USA, UK, mainland Europe, Australia, Japan and South Africa to boost its overseas operations.

Mr Kumar, who also has around 6 per cent stake in the company through his own consulting venture, Creative Media, said that the company has already implementing its first two Cytura software project in India. In the next two fiscals, the company is targeting its installation base to increase to 50 by year 2002, he added.

Mr Kumar said that the company has recently launched a new content management software, ContentWorks in the Indian market. "The product is most suitable for media organisations e-commerce portals which need a robust framework and workflow for content management on the Web. The software allows customisation of contents as per the needs of the user as well as facilitate the injection of contents from multiple sources automatically," he said.

According to Mr Kumar, about $1 million has already been invested in the company and in the foreseeable future, another $2 million investment is planned. The team size is also expected to increase from present 75 to 300 by the third year of operation. Gayatri Interactive, which was set up in April 2000 and became operational in, is expected to earn a revenue of $500,000 this fiscal, claimed Mr Kumar. The company has been set up with an objective of marketing and implementation of Cytura e-business solutions in India and as an entry of the Gayatri group into software services business in the overseas market.
