Maruti 800 improves quality: JD Power
Maruti 800 has improved its quality by 28.75 per cent over last year. According to the Initial Quality Study (IQS) by JD Power, America's biggest name in customer surveys, the car has scored 223 problems per hundred vehicles (PP 100) compared to 413 in 1998 and 313 in 1999.Kale bags software contract
Kale Consultants has bagged a major software contract from Dar Es Salaam Airport Handling company Ltd (DAHACO). DAHACO will use `mercury', a cargo software developed by Speedwing, a subsidiary of British Airways which recently sold its rights to Kale Consultants Ltd.

The board of directors of Bhushan Steel and Strips Ltd has approved amalgamation of Bhushan Ltd with the company and setting up a project on 2,50,000 tonnes per annum cold rolled products in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 490 crore.
Jeffrey Skilling is Enron CEO
Enron Corp. has said Jeffrey Skilling had been elected chief executive, effective February 12. Skilling, 47, will assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities as president and CEO.
