Reuters, RiteChoice provide solution for stockmarkit.com

Chennai : The Chennai-based RiteChoice Technologies Ltd, in association with Reuters has provided an end-to-end solution for stockmarkit.com, the Internet stock trading venture of the Apeejay Surrendra group. The IT application for this venture would be hosted at a remote location and managed by the RiteChoice and Reuters combine. Reuters, through the Reuters Electronic Broker (REB) will provide the front-end, while RitChoice will provide the back-end. Speaking at the press conference, Mr IP Morris said that "the solution will help the company focus on their core business, while the IT applications are taken care of by the Ritechoice-Reuters electronic trading solution." Also, issues such as scalability, maintenance, redundancy, support, etc., will be taken taken care of by the combine.

According to Mr Asoka Markandu, marketing manager for Reuters India Ltd, said "The Reuters and RiteChoice combine would jointly market the solution." The REB has been modified to meet Indian trading requirements and thestandards set by the National Stock Exchange. Stockmarkit.com currently has 1,500 clients for its Internet broking arm.
