Panel of experts invited by the TRAI to discuss issues related to limited mobility, is veering to the view, that till technology advancements put WLL on par with GSM, "limited mobility based on the WLL application, should be poor man's mobile service, which can find a place in between basic and cellular telecom services."

CNET buys out Asiacontent.com for $6 m, takes control of 7 sites
CNET Networks Inc, an American technology and commerce-related information and data exchanges service, has made a cash investment of $6 million to gain ownership of seven CNET Websites throughout Asia, including India.

Star, Hathway to launch interactive TV, broadband service in April 2001
Star TV and Hathway Cable & Datacom will launch its interactive television and broadband Internet service in April, 2001. The offerings will initially include around 20 exclusive digital channels, mainly from the Rupert Murdoch-promoted News Corp stable.
