Indian men believe in action. They leave saying "I love you" to their American counterparts (who are the best at it in the whole world), and claim they know their wife's sexual fantasies. They better know, and measure up to it because Indian women say they are not as satisfied with their sex lives, according to a survey done by Planet Project, a web-based interactive survey. It claims to be the world's largest survey, involving 1.5 million people. The poll is on at www.3com.com.So far 100,000 respondents from all over the world have polled on questions, ranging from the thought provoking to the entertaining, all focussed on humanity's beliefs, hopes, fears, similarities and differences. Started by 3Com Corporation, this ongoing survey, available in eight languages, aims at giving an opportunity to people around the world to share their views and opinions.
The survey has thrown up some interesting facets about Indian family life, from family to sex, money and the country. Indian households are the nosiest, says the survey, with couples admitting to one major quarrel every week. About 15 per cent of the Indians say they have serious fights once a week and another 15 per cent say that such disputes are an everyday occurrence.
Indian spouses are amazingly satisfied with each other. Fifty-two per cent of Indians say they are happy with the way their spouses are and do not want any upgrades. In contrast, two-thirds of women globally say that they are dissatisfied with their husband's financial status. And surprisingly, 92 per cent of the American respondents have strong objection to extra-marital affairs, saying that married people should not have affairs. Asians and the French do not approve of affairs as well, with 82 per cent Asians and 69 per cent of the French describing them as inappropriate. When it comes to patriotism, Indians take the cake, with 93 per cent of the respondents saying they are proud of their country compared with 84 per cent for the the rest of the world.
