Adobe India develops `Acrobat Reader' for hand-held devices

New Delhi : Adobe Systems is almost ready with its new `Acrobat Reader' for hand-held devices. The product, which has been developed by Adobe India, is expected to hit the worldwide market sometime early next year. The move, according to experts, will boost the popularity of electronic books and will make Adobe a major player in the emerging world of electronic books.

Acrobat Reader from Adobe is a software widely used by people the world over, to read files in the Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF ensures that files are transmitted over the Web with the original look and feel, without losing any of their original formatting, no matter which machine they are reproduced on.
