New Delhi : Bargains portal Khuljasimsim.com has entered into co-branding alliances, for its offline initiative, the value card, with Kelvinator India Limited and Booklover, a Mumbai-based chain of bookstores.According to Mr Vikas Verma, CEO, KhuljaSimSim.com, "Under the tie-up with Kelvinator, all its customers, will get a KhuljaSimSim.com vlaue card worth Rs 199, free of cost." Booklover customers, who buy books worth a certain amount, will also be entitled to get this value card for free, he added. This value card, which was launched in October-end, enables people to avail discounts and get bargains in various outlets in metropolitan cities, which have a tie-up with KhuljaSimSim.com.
The value card, which is currently valid in five cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, and Jaipur, will extend its reach to 12 cities by December. These include, Surat, Baroda, Ahemdabad, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Calcutta.
Meanwhile, KhuljaSimSim.com has also entered into revenue sharing alliances, with portals like MantraOnline, Brandquiver, Batchmates, CafeMumbai, CafeDilli, CafeKolkatta, Naradonline, to provide bargains, best buy related content, informed Mr Verma. KhuljaSimSim.com is also in the process of tying up with four other sites, for these bargain services.
According to Mr Verma, under the tie-ups, KhuljaSimSim.com will take care of the back-end and logistics of the best-buys and bargains related services provided by these portals. "But the look and feel of the bargain pages of these sites, will be theirs (of the alliance partners)," he added."These tie-ups will give us enhanced traffic and revenue. The company expects a 25 per cent increase in its revenue and users, through these tie-ups," said Mr Verma.
The benefit for the alliance partners is that, it would have been counter-productive for these sites to develop all the content and manage the back-end, since they would not have been able to generate the volumes required to justify the costs and efforts required to tie-up the back-end.
