Chennai-based 3rd Agenda, an Internet consulting and Web solutions company, has developed Portalligence, which helps in making the three building blocks of the portal - content, commerce and community. The company is a Microsoft.net partner, according to the company's press release.

HCL InfiNet unveils value-added Net services in more cities
HCL InfiNet has announced the launch of its value-added Internet services in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Noida, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. The service, now available in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai, will soon be made available across India in 42 cities making HCL InfiNet one of the largest ISPs in India.

Childduniya.com floated
The Chennai-based Child Star Ltd has launched childduniya.com, a children's channel on the Internet. It offers a number of utility products and services online, said Mr Ramu Annamalai Ramasamy, managing director of the company. These include education, games, free email, daily contests etc. An interesting feature of the site is `After School Learning' programme that provides curriculum-based, concept-oriented education covering the CBSE, ICSE and State Board syllabus for pre-kg to class five. This module provides online study planning tools, exam scheduling tools etc.

PaisaPower.com launches e-card services
PaisaPower.com, the complete personal finance Web site, has launched its e-card service. PaisaPower.com offers the consumer the eCard option from Citibank. Mr Austin PM, CEO, PaisaPower.com, said, "In the current eCard scenario, where Citibank is the first one to offer Web credit card in India, PaisaPower.com wants the consumer to have the ability to shop online."

Discovery has special fare for kids today
Discovery Channel will have a special programming line-up marking Children's Day today. The Children's Day line-up comprises of 12 hours of the very best programmes produced globally for the young: Splat, Naturequest, Pop Sic, Buck Staghorn's Animal Bites, Popular Mechanics for Kids, So You Want to Be, Jaws & Claws, Real Kids, Bonehead Detectives of the Paleoworld, Mega Movie Magic and Crocodile Hunter's Croc Files. The programmes will be aired on the channel from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Special stamp to be released for Children's Day
The Minister of State for Communications, Mr Tapan Sikdar, will release a special postage stamp on the occasion of the Children's Day on Tuesday. In a denomination of Rs 3, the stamp issued by the Department of Posts (DoP) is based on a painting by Phuhar Uppal which won the top honour in a nation-wide Stamp Design Competition. It depicts a child hugging a friendly elephant and carries the title `My Best Friend.' The elephant becomes a metaphor for nature and its benevolence. The First Day Cover (FDC) carries a painting by Daya Maheshwaran, another entry received in the Stamp Design Competition.
