UTI acquires 2 pc stake in apollolife.com

Hyderabad : Leading financial institution Unit Trust of India (UTI) has acquired a two per cent stake in apollolife.com, a healthcare portal belonging to the Rs 500-crore Apollo Hospitals Group. This portal is designed and developed by the renowned consultants - Boston Consultancy Group (BCG). Presently, Apollo Hospitals holds 51 per cent equity stake and BCG holds a five per cent stake and NRIs, doctors hold the balance equity in apollolife.com, according to a press release.

This portal addresses the needs of the entire healthcare industry by building links in the healthcare brick and mortar infrastructure in India. Apollolife.com also recently launched an educational venture called medvarsity.com, a joint venture with Apollo and NIIT.
