UTI's UGS-10000 scheme reopens for subscription

Mumbai, Nov 8: UGS-10000, the MNC fund of Unit Trust of India, will be open for sale and repurchase from November 6 to 13, 2000. The sale and repurchase price of the units will be based on NAV of the day on which the application is accepted. In accordance with the objectives, the fund invests predominantly in stocks of multi-national companies (MNCs) and other liquid stocks.

The NAV of the fund as on November 2, 2000 was Rs 10.56. The fund has outperformed the benchmark S&P CNX MNC Index by a substantial margin over 12 months. As on November 2, 2000, 47.14 per cent of the fund's investment portfolio was in consumer goods sector, 16.31 per cent in pharmaceutical, 12.29 per cent in IT and 11.39 per cent in engineering sector. The top five stocks constitute 38.27 per cent and top ten stocks make up 61.77 per cent of the NAV of the fund.
