Chennai : Taking a cue from the latest trends in the information technology industry, Complete Business Solutions (India) Limited is now planning to bring a strategic focus to `Web enterprise integration'. The company is all set to offer systems solutions that would integrate brick and mortar companies with the Web and enable them to transact business on the Internet.This kind of environment will give farther reach to the companies and also facilitate business to business transactions on the Web, said Mr K Subrahmaniam, chief operating officer of the company, speaking to The Financial Express. The concept of business over the Web has just started in India, but over the next five years the market for this kind of business is expected to be worth around $150 billion. During the year 2000-2001, CBSI is targeting a 35 to 45 per cent growth in its turnover. Last year its Indian operations enabled the company to clock a turnover of about Rs 104 crore.
Worldwide business revenues shot up to about $463 million. According to Mr RS Iyengar, vice president, administration CBSI, "there has not been much growth in the turnover of the company last year as consolidation and restructuring of business practices was happening in the parent company."
