Mumbai: Mithi has launched an e-mail software - mailjol unplugged - that helps a user work with Web-based e-mail services without being connected. Mailjol Unplugged can access multilingual e-mail services. It virtually eliminates the bandwidth and connectivity problems that users face while connecting to the Internet. The user has to connect for a brief moment in which he can send and receive the mail from his desktop client.
This software is designed to work with any e-mail service but is first being offered for the mailjol users. Mr Kapil Dhatingan, chief marketing officer, said that Mithi plans to earn its revenues by attracting sponsorships/ads for the e-mail client and licensing this software to other e-mail service providers to support multilingual messaging. For this they are looking at Rediff, indiaengineering.com, and some vernacular portals.
