Fairfest plans to travel on IPO route

Bangalore, Oct 16: Travel marts held annually throughout the country showcasing the various travel destinations in India have become a trademark strategy of the tourism industry. One of the key players to popularise this concept is a relatively low-profile company - FairFest Media Pvt Ltd - based in Calcutta.

Fairfest Media Pvt Ltd has plans to float an public offering and list on the stock exchanges in the country by next year to raise an as yet undecided amount, a senior company official told The Financial Express. With its two divisions - Travel & Tourism Fair and Outbound Travel Mart - FairFest Media has been organising travel marts across India for the last 11 years.
