STC inks pact with Wipro
Software Technologies Corporation (STC), a leading California-based provider of e-business integration (EBI) solutions and Wipro, the world's first SEI-CMM level 5 software services company, have entered into a global partnership trageting commercial and public sector industries. Wipro has named STC a preferred vendor for end-to-end integration projects, while STC had designated Wipro a global alliance service partner, says a Wipro release here on Tuesday.

TCIL bags three overseas basic services projects
Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), an enterprise under the DoT has bagged three mega projects, one in Kenya - for the operation of basic services in five regions; the second one in Cambodia - for the supply and networking of wide area systems in the whole of the country, valued at Rs 125 crore and the third one is the UN Trunking Network worth approximately Rs 150 crore.

Paramount receives Rs 120 cr order from DoT
Paramount Communications Ltd (PCL) has received Rs 120 crore order from Department of Telecommunication (DoT) for the supply of Jelly Filled Telecom Cables. As per the contract, company has to supply these cables within the current financial year. Based on this order and other expected orders in this fiscal from DoT and other companies, Paramount group is expected to close this fiscal i.e. 2000-2001 with a total turnover of over Rs 200 crore, as against the turnover of Rs 130 crore posted in the last financial year. This translates into a growth of over 50 per cent in the current financial year
