BNK group director Ajit Khandelwal told PTI here that Wipro would provide end-to-end facilities, help in systems integration and locating equipment for the 100-seat call centre, which would be set up with an investment of Rs 12.5 crore. Stating that BNK was the first company to get Wipro's expertise for computer telephony, he said, the software major would use the call centre as one of its centres for describing the functioning of the centre, he said, "we will handle data and voice mail through computer telephony integration (CTI) to provide information to the customers of our international clients". The technology and expertise would be provided to the joint venture (JV) enterprise BNK E-solutions, Khandelwal said. BNK E-solutions Ltd is a joint venture between BNK Group and businessman Nirmal Bageria. The centre would enable any callgenerated in the US or in any other country to be routed to Calcutta through Internet.

The centre, which would be operational by November this year, would have both in-bound and out-bound facilities besides provisions for back-end processing, Khandelwal said. Though there were a few such companies in Ggurgaon, Hyderabad and Mumbai, no international call centre existed in the eastern parts, he said. The centre, which would provide information on multiple disciplines, could be utilised by the banks, mutual funds and pension funds, among others, he said.
