The legendary Karsanbhai Patel entered the Hall of Fame-Marketing. And the makers of All-Out mosquito repellents-Anil, Bimal and Naveen Arya of Karamchand Appliances bagged the Marketing Persons of the Year.

While HTA, Mumbai, bagged a gold in the Best Film Nomination of the Year (for its creative for Pepsi Foods Ltd), O&M, which had dominated the A&M Awards for the last three years, walked away with the Agency of the Year award.

In all, 114 awards were given away at the ninth A&M Awards. According to Spectrum Magazine Ltd - which has instituted the award that recognizes Indian creativity and innovation in the field of advertising and marketing- this year's entries witnessed a remarkable collection of excellently executed ads in print, television and the Internet. Led by marketing guru Shunu Sen, the jury consisted of RJ Masilamani of Timex, Shashi Ullal of Hughes Escorts, Usha Bhandarkar of Lintas, Siddharth Varma of Reebok, Abhiram Seth of Pepsi Foods, Sanjeev Bikhchandani of Naukri.com, Ranjivjit Singh of Ericsson, Rajesh Jog of eVentures, Rajeev Karwal of Philips, Yashish Dahiya of Tata Interactive Systems, Tara Sinha, and Roda Mehta.

A&M launches online edition
Spectrum Magazines Ltd, the publishers of A&M magazine, announced the launch of the online edition of its magazine - www.AandM.com. The company has envisaged an investment of Rs 5.7 crore during the initial stages.

Founded 11 years ago, A&M magazine sells 1,32,859 copies per fortnight.AandM.com will be positioned as a site for news, views and information related to the world of business. Expected to establish itself as one of the leading content sites in India for the business community, the portal is working on a revenue model. Spectrum is expected to take its operations to a number of other countries this year.
