Get collared twice

PRACHI RATURI
With the traditional-modern, mix `n' match look being `in', Indian men and women are experimenting more. A Bandhani shirt suits Indian men fine, as does embroidered jeans, Indian women. Innovation is definitely the trend today and no one wants to be left behind.

A new innovation in the Indian market for men's garments is a double collared shirt. Coming from Diwan Saheb, an old name in men's fashion, the double collared look is a bold experiment. While men's trousers and kurtas have been experimented with for a while, shirts still have the normal straight look. Colours have been a recent trend, but experimenting with lines has never really been done in the Indian shirts market. This is what really caught the fancy of the people at Diwan Saheb, and the result is their double collared shirts range.

So, you have choose collars and the kind of look you want to address. The shirts have twin collars, for example, a Chinese collar complemented with a regular collar adjoining it. The range has other combination patterns as well. So there are regular collars, supporting regular collars or a regular collar along with round or pointed edges.

There is a casual as well as a formal range for the shirts. And for men who are more willing to experiment, there are shirts with Swarovski crystal buttons, hand-embroidered motifs and monograms on the shirts-ideal for party wear. While the formal, embroidered shirts are available in the Rs 3,000-5,000 price range, the casual range is priced at Rs 1,500-2,500.
