Sheela group ties up with UK firm for new products

Kochi, Aug 27: The Sheela Group of Companies, makers of Sleepwell and Starlite range of mattresses, on Sunday said that it had joined with the UK-based Dunlopillo Ltd to launch wide ranges of mattresses, cushions and pillows in India.

Sheela group is the exclusive licensee to manufacture and market Dunlopillo products in India, Ravinder Sarma, executive director, Sheela Group of companies on Sunday.

He said Dunlopillo continues to be the best known bedding brand in the world and was sold in over 60 countries including Australia, China, South Africa, South America, European countries, Norway, Malta and Turkey in the Mediterranean. Dunlopillo products are manufactured using the latest Talaley latex technology, Sarma said.

Sarma said they have launched five models of Sleepwell Millennium - Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Neptune and Pluto - with a guarantee upto 25 years.

This works like an antidote to heat generation and the mattress remain cool even in hot summers,' Sarma said.

The company had a turnover of Rs 225 crore last year and had targeted Rs 300 crore for this financial year, he said.
