The Rs 1,1364-crore Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd of the K K Birla group has decided to enter software development field. And for this the company has floated India Software Group with the headquarters at Chennai. Sources in the CFCL, which has a large-size urea plant in Rajasthan, say that India Software Group has already developed and implemented ERP for Gautier Ltd and Zuari Industries Ltd. The Group has also developed and implemented software packages for various companies in the country.
Encouraged by the success, the company has opened its branch office in London and more such offices elsewhere would soon be opened. The London office caters to the business needs of the European countries. "We see a lot of potential in the field as the software business has been growing very fast", says a spokesman.
