Announcing the change of name to Interact Commerce Corporation, the Nasdaq-listed SalesLogix Corporation announced that the name change was in a bid to reflect its expansion into a multi-brand provider of solutions for individuals, organizations and selling communities.
Speaking to eFE, Bonny Malik, country head for Interact Commerce Corporation (ICC) said that Interact.com was actively looking to partner various service providers in India particularly in the area of news and information, finance and stocks and travel. These service providers will basically have to power the portal with all India-related information on these issues. "Depending on the service provider, we will do revenue-sharing deals or any other kind of business arrangement" said Malik. He said that the company was in dialogue with a site which aimed to provide all information in the public domain relating to the Ministry Of Finance and the RBI.
Interact.com was launched in the US just last week and is powered by the XML (Extensible Mark-up Language) technology which is basically interactive in nature. The portal is designed to meet all information needs of users apart from incorporating interactive tools.
Using Act! 2000, Microsoft Outlook, mobile phones or personal digital assistants professionals can schedule Web conferences, receive news on clients and prospects, execute e-marketing campaigns and create customized Websites to communicate with clients via the interact.com portals which serves as the gateway. The gateway basically brings services as well as data directly into the applications in use.
Apart from Interact.com which is the company's latest product, the company offers Saleslogix2000, an eCRM product and Act! 2000, a contact management software.
