The bailable warrants were issued by a division benchcomprising Justice PK Balasubramaniyan and Justice TM Hassan Pillai on their appeal challenging their conviction and one-year sentence by the inquiry commissioner and special judge, Thiruvanathapuram.

The bench also directed the accused to appear before the court on Aug 24 to give them an opportunity to engage a counsel of their choice.
