Mumbai, Aug 14: Vikaram Kothari Enterprise of Rotomac ball pens has picked up a 65 per cent stake in the Kanpur-based software education company First Brains Pvt Ltd (FBL) for an undisclosed amount."However, the process of buying stake is not yet over,and expected to be completed in a month or so," Vikram Kothari, who would be the chairman if FBL after takeover, told newsmen on Monday.
FBL promoter Mukhlarul Abbasi would be the managing director in the new management, he said adding there would not be any change in company's name, but its products would be marketed under the brand name `Rotomac-Brains.'"We are planning to diversify FBL into medical transcription and software development," he added. FBL has also announced a tie-up with global graphic design and publising software provider - Corel - for marketing its spell-checking software for healthcare industry.
