Myiris.com in 50:50 JV with Millenium Broadcast

Mumbai: Myiris.com the financial information and services site has entered into a 50:50 joint-venture with Millenium Broadcast, the radio company founded by Gautam Radia, former editor of the Intelligent Investor.Myirisfn.com-as the JV company has been christened-has been set up primarily to provide Investor Radio services. "The investor radio is a nice complement to our product," says S Swaminthan of Myiris.com. "We have a content and research background primarily and are looking for various delivery channels for the products. Radio is just one of them," he adds.

Swaminathan indicated that the Internet radio service is currently under tests, and will go live shortly thereafter.Myirisfn.com will focus on providing a live radio service for stock market investors, especially during trading hours. It has already begun the process of recruiting former AIR personnel to steer the service.

Millenium Broadcast one of the JV partners, is the Gautam Radia promoted radio company that has been maintaining a low profile thus far.Apart from Myirisfn.com, for which the company is pooling in its financial reporting resources, Millenium Broadcast has major plans for FM Radio services. Millenium Broadcast has radio licenses for three major metros, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi and plans a foray into the entertainment broadcasting business shortly, according to Radia.
