Mumbai, July 26: Dr Narendra Pandya was awarded the prestigious Dr BC Roy National Award in Medicine for `Eminent Medical Teacher' by Hon'ble Shri KR Narayanan, President of India, at the National Awards Presentation Ceremony, held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.Dr Pandya is a consultant plastic, reconstructive & cosmetic surgeon practising in Mumbai and is on the staff of major city hospitals.
He was Honorary Surgeon to late President Giani Zail Singh and Shri R Venkataraman, past Presidents of India and is Honorary Plastic Surgeon to the Armed Forces of India.
He is currently the President of the International College of Surgeons, Indian section and past President of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India and National Academy of Burns of India.
