UK wholesale gas trade is fair, says watchdog

London, July 24: UK energy regulator OFGEM said a review of wholesale gas trading mechanisms had uncovered no signs of market abuse.In a statement keenly awaited by a market where allegations of manipulation have circulated this year, the watchdog said the surge in gas prices this year was a result of unusually cold weather and booming experts to Europe.
