Consign Tech in ASP market

Chennai: Consign Technology Pvt Ltd has entered the application service provider (ASP) market through its product `Finvest 2000'. The software comprises of modules such as equity, non-equity investments, personal finance etc. It is targeted at portals, financial products and distribution companies, stock brokers and others, and will be provided to them through the ASP model. Thus, the clients can use the product by paying a monthly rental and a fixed amount while the hosting and management work would be done by Consign.

The benefits of ASP such as reduced ownership cost, freed up IT cost, reduction in administrative task etc would accrue to the customers said Mahavir Chand, director (Marketing) at a press meet. The company has been promoted by Gan-X software which has a tie up with Manhattan Analytics Inc.

For content, Consign has entered into tie ups with Asian Cerc, Banglore (for content), M/S Value Research (mutual funds) and ICRA (rating). The software outfits current clientele includes Walletwatch, Zeenext, 123India, Indiainfo and paisapower.

It is in talks with business dailies, other leading portals and hopes to wrap up a few deals shortly. The company plans has set up its marketing office in Mumbai and is planning offices in Delhi, Bangalore. Channel partners would be selected in other cities to expand geographic presence.
