The informatics division of Crompton Greaves Limited on Monday formalised a strategic alliance with Remedy Corporation for consultation, implementation and training of eCRM and e-business Infrastructure solutions in India. Apply IT in old economy, says PHDCCI
To give a boost to information technology sector in the northern region, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday called for increased application of IT in old economy sectors like agriculture and creation of local language portals. Besides, a strong institutional framework needs to be set up for the purpose, a study undertaken by the chamber said. The first step in a successful level IT development strategy is the creation of an institutional infrastructure that supports the establishment of an IT industry. "There is a need of both hard infrastructure such as transport and communications and soft or institutional infrastructure such as effective legal, financial and educational systems", the study pointed out.
