Zurich India MF to pay dividend in gilts fund 

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA  
Mumbai, May 24: Zurich India Mutual Fund (ZIMF) declared a maiden tax free dividend of three per cent in saving plan and 1.35 per cent in the investment plan for the unit holders of its Sovereign Gilt Fund on May 22, 2000.

Zurich India Sovereign Gilt Fund was launched on January 31, 2000 and went open ended shortly thereafter. During the financial year 1999-2000, ZIMF declared a total of 11 dividends in five schemes.

Zimf with its policy of rewarding its unit holders by declaring regular dividends in various schemes also declared a weekly tax-free dividend of 0.15 per cent (1.50 paise per unit) in Zurich India Liquidity Fund (saving plan). This is the 10th dividend in the scheme which was launched in November-end 1999 and went open-ended shortly thereafter, according to a company release.
