DON'T mistake Vaastu with the breaking up of structures in your house. For you can use your knowledge of the working of the energy flows in your house to have a more constructive attitude towards Vaastu. Some of these simple methods of how to be Vaastu-friendly without getting destructive are explained in a new CD-Rom entitled Total Energy Through Vaastu Shastra. The CD-Rom is a result of the path-breaking research done by Dr Prabhat Poddar of the Akash Foundation, Pondicherry. Poddar explains how Vaastu principles do not mean breaking down and re-building structures. And that Vaastu can be followed by rectifying the energy flow, which is a non-destructive approach. The CD-Rom provides a scientific explanation of how energies behave inside a built space and how they interact with the environment.
According to Ajay Poddar, managing director, JCL International Ltd (which is marketing the CD-Rom), the approach has been to separate Vaastu from a belief system and to examine the subject with a scientific mind and validate corrections with instruments.
The CD-Rom has been designed and created by Sambandh Multimedia, a software and Internet solutions company, which is active in creating multimedia applications and constructing websites and portals, he says. The CD-Rom will be available for Rs 1,500, within the country and abroad. Those hooked to the net can even order it online at various portals, including amazon.com.
Poddar says that realising that the younger generation is looking for deeper knowledge about their Indian roots, JCL decided to bring out a `Knowledge Series', of which the first is Total Energy Through Vaastu Shastra.``In order to undertake any rectification of energy at a place, it is imperative to understand and know the working of these energies, their negative and positive impacts on us individually and in our lives,'' says Poddar. Hence, proper training and mastery of the subject is of paramount importance. People need to be properly trained to handle these powerful bio-electro-magnetic radiations.
According to Dr Prabhat Poddar, the basic approach is to first learn to use the instruments to detect the nature of radiations and their effects.
``Based on our research, we have developed various methods and techniques to rectify and neutralise these radiations, for example, by using small pieces of marble, solar energy at specified times, etc,'' he says. He adds: ``Ours is a non-destructive approach and 15 years of research, consultancy and experience have shown that it works, but needs careful handling, proper understanding of the subject and thorough mastery in handling these powerful energy radiations.''
The instruments are available with the Poddars, but unless you undergo the necessary training, you cannot use them. ``Hence, our recommendations and insistence on a proper organised training programme,'' he explains.
Not only that, the process of working with the instruments is very painful for your fingers. It's also extremely tiring when you work for long stretches of time. The instrument has to be given a proper tension with the hands and you have to be able to finetune the tension required to be given for the various wavelengths. It requires a lot of patience, effort and energy. ``If one comes through with it, then the experience is very rewarding. We cannot say that the instrument is easy to use-it is like any other science for which if one finds the time and inclination, some effort is required to master it.''
The first step in the process is to identify to what extent Vaastu principles have been followed in a building. Any deviations from Vaastu principles affect the building through bio-energetic radiations in the environment as well as the subtle energies of human bodies in terms of alignments of the energy axes (nadis), chakras, body organs, the five elements (Pancha Tattva) and the five subtle bodies (Pancha Kosha), he explains.
