Investors breathe free as Sensex reverses trend with 219 points rise
After days of uncertainty and extreme volatility, market players heaved a sigh of relief after the BSE Sensex bounced back by 219 points on Thursday. The trend of declining influence of Indian markets on the Nasdaq is also making the broking community happy.

Sustained rally may see Sensex cross 5000 points
The Sensex made a robust rise on Thursday and look set for some more surge on Friday. The market signalled a bullish stance at opening. It opened at 4385, jumping 50 points over Wednesday's close of 4335.

Rathi opens V-sat earth station at BSE
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday inaugurated its Master Earth Station or Hub and Managed Leased Data Network, which will extend its VSAT (very small aperture terminals) catering capability, its reach and speed of its BOLT system.
