Alcatel eyes 50% in Sterlite telecom firm

Sterlite Industries (India) has roped in French telecom major Alcatel as a joint venture partner for its proposed telecom company to be formed by demerging the telecom division from itself. Alcatel may pick up 50% in the venture as soon as the demerger is over by August this year.
