BPL Mobile, Citibank to launch mobile banking 

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA  
Mumbai, April 21: Mumbai's premium mobile phone service provider BPL Mobile and leader in financial services industry Citibank have announced their strategic alliance to start what they describe transactional mobile banking to be launched under the umbrella of mobilecommerce - a totally new concept in the country.

Using this, BPL Mobile subscribers holding Citibank credit cards and Citibank accounts will be able to conduct financial transaction on the mobile phones using the BPL Mobile network. The alliance was announced by BPL Mobile Communications Ltd chief executive officer AP Parigi and Citibank's chief executive officer Nanoo Pamnani.
