Gold, silver import growth dips by 15.45%
The rate of growth of imports of gold and silver decelerated in April-December 1999, notwithstanding the recent sharp increase in bullion prices overseas.

Capital additions by sick units to be recognised
The Fertiliser Industry Coordination Committee (FICC), a body under the department of fertilisers, has decided to facilitate early and quick recognition of capital additions for sick units to improve their cash flows.
