Hyderabad, April 10: Internet-based recruitment company prizedjobs.com, a joint venture between Satyam Infoway Ltd., and Bangalore based Head Hunters (India) Ltd., is to go in for a Rs 10 crore VC funding to finance promotional plans.

This apart, the company is also contemplating an IPO at a later date to meet further expansion plans to the tune of Rs 30 crore, K Lakshmikanth, founder CEO of prizedjobs.com said here.

The company, in which Satyam Infoway holds 30 per cent equity, is envisaging an adspend of over Rs 25 crore over the next one year and hopes to turn the corner during the seventh quarter of operation with a net profit of Rs 5 crore, he said. The portal which was launched in March boasts of over 15,500 job listings and 12,000 resume listings as of date. So much so, the site has received a valuation upwards of Rs 100 crore by the VC with which the company hoped to ink a pact soon, Lakshmikanth said.

The company will launch a series of jamborees branded e-recruit live in six cities over the next few months providing an opportunity for companies to recruit potential candidates on the spot. The first of these has already been held in Chennai and the second is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on Tuesday. While candidates can have direct interaction with prospective companies the participating clients, mostly from the IT sector, will be able to meet the top talent from these six cities, he said.
