Cybiz ties up with Karrox for call centres
Cybiz Technologies, an IT services company has recently tied up with Karrox Technologies, a computer training organisation for training and placement of call centre agents. Cybiz is planning to set up over 50 call centre franchisees, named CybizCall, in the country by the end of this year. A prototype of which has already been put up in New Delhi. The training would be provided by Karrox Technologies on e-customer relationship management (e-CRM) in association with the Canada-based Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. Cybiz and Karrox plan to train about 300 students per month, which would be certified by the Algonquin College.

Paramount shares demat on NSLD
Paramount Communications Ltd - one of the leading telecom cable companies has tied-up with National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) for the dematerialisation of its shares. As a result of this, Paramount's fully paid up shares are available for demat with the NSDL. As per the agreement with NSDL, the shareholders have an option to go for demat of their holding or if they wish, they can still hold the shares in the physical form.

Vysya ties up with Indus for lending solutions
Indus Software Private Limited (Indus software), a Pune-based software products company has signed an agreement with the Vysya Bank Ltd, a leading private sector bank in India for the implementation of its product, ISI (lending solutions from Indus).Indus software has aptly customized ISI to suit the requirements of Vysya bank. Vysya bank, with headquarters in Bangalore, is positioning itself to emerge as a strong retail bank, providing integrated financial services. It is currently undertaking a project to migrate from distributed processing to centralized processing and networking of retail banking branches.

Pacific Century gets media rights for cricket matches
Pacific Century CyberWorks has announced a strategic acquisition of key media rights related to international cricket matches played in India through 2004. PCCW will exclusively build, maintain and operate, in association with Doordarshan, the official Website of Indian cricket. As part of the pact, the official web address would be exclusively promoted in all broadcasts throughout the world of all Indian cricket matches played in India.

CDC concludes Daksh.com investment
CDC Advisors has announced the conclusion of its $2m investment in Daksh.com, a start-up operating in the IT-enabled e-commerce space and based in Gurgaon and Silicon Valley. CDC Advisors has also announced the move of Subba Rao, currently the director of CDC Advisors, Bangalore, to head CDC India Ventures..

For the first time, a new Website has been created in the country to give full information on teacher education institutions and the laws relating to them. The Website http://www.Ncte-in.Org has been launched by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
