Ernst & Young has new country-head
Ernst & Young has appointed Rajesh Dhume as country head-tax practice. Dhume was earlier head of tax for Ernst & Young in Mumbai. Dhume, 36, has 13 years of experience in tax advisory, having done stints at firms like AF Fergusson, Ratan S Mama and Hindustan Ciba Geigy (now Novartis). He joined Ernst & Young in 1995 at Mumbai and was elevated to partner in just a year.MTNL's NYSE listing
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has informed BSE that the listing on the NYSE is likely to take place by March 15, 2000.
Discovery to launch new channels
Discovery Network International, the global programming distribution division of Discovery Communications, on Tuesday announced the launch of two new global channels-Discovery Health and Discovery Travel and Adventure. Discovery Communications has committed $100 million to the international launches of the two channels. Discovery Health will roll out as a 24 hours channel in Europe and Latin America and as a branded programming block in Asia and India.
ICICI credit cards membership
Within a short period, ICICI Credit Cards have notched up a membership of 10,000. Personal Financial Services MD and ICICI senior general manager Shikha Sharma said this while launching the ICICI credit cards in Pune. The response has come not only from the existing account holders of ICICI Bank but also from outside.
Directories Today unwraps
TAG Directories Today, a joint venture of the India Today group and Singapore Telecom, launched TAG, an information guide for automobile owners. The directory, having data on car finance guidance, road maps, accessories etc, is priced of Rs 70.
