Play2win a Volkswagon Beetle
Internet contests website www.contests2 win.com has announced an innovative and interactive contest for its young users, in association with Close-up - the `Close-up Love Bug contest.' The contest, which will be on till February 20, has as a first prize a Volkswagon Beetle. The specially designed car, done up in a retro 60s flower power look, would be driven around four net savvy cities - Mumbai (from Jan 21-25), Pune (Jan 26-30), Bangalore (Feb 1-5) and Delhi (Feb 10-14). The contest, hosted on the site, would be based on questions about the Beetle. It would focus on the `play to win' aspect of creativity and uniqueness.

Business Leadership Award for Wipro chairman
Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro Infotech Ltd, has been given the first `Golden Peacock Business Leadership Award', instituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD). The award was presented by the Minister of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution recently during the inaugural session of the 10th World Congress on Total Quality.

Visa telebooking facility
Visa International has announced that it will provide a special tele-ticketing facility for Visa Card-holders in India for the latest James Bond movie `The World is Not Enough' to be released in theatres across India on February 4. Visa Card-holders now have the convenience to book, pay for and avail of free home delivery of their movie tickets with their Visa Card and a single phone call. Visa Card-holders in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai can avail of the special tele-ticketing facility from February 1, 2000.

Snacks for energy
Hyderabad-based Concept Foods has launched E2 Cereal Bar, the ready-to-eat `double energy snack' made out of rice and wheat flakes and rolled oats, mixed with sugar and milk solids. The product is available in two variants in two sizes each of 45 gm and 10 gm - peanut and mixed fruit - and is aimed at children in the age group of 4-14 years. The company has also entered the hard-boiled sugar confectionery category with Hatrick - a candy with a combination of sweet, sour and spicy flavours and Turmint, the only candy with a turmeric base, for quick relief from a sore throat.
