Keeping in view the minister's letter and the proposed meeting, they will not start any agitation for the time being, Dubey told PTI.
Earlier, employees of Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board (UPSEB) had threatened to revive their agitation after the state government arrested their 12 union leaders who had gone to meet Chief Minister R P Gupta to protest over `non-implementation' of the accord reached last month over payment of salaries for the strike period.
The employees had struck work for 11 days last month protesting trifurcation of UPSEB.
Angered at the arrest of their leader, the powermen boycotted work, raised slogans against the government and held protest meetings in the state, Dubey said.
However, employees on shift duty had been asked to attend to their work to ensure smooth and uninterrupted power supply, Dubey said.
